1. Introduction

Visary ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage data (features used, time spent in App, pages viewed)
  • Log data (IP address, access times, app crashes)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features
  • Process and manage your visa application tracking
  • Send you notifications and reminders about important dates
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats

  • Follow up with business contacts who ask to hear about Visary for Solicitors, including leads from LinkedIn lead generation forms

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Solicitors and Immigration Advisers: When you submit a matter, we share a case brief (visa type, circumstances, urgency and document status) with registered Firms so they can decide whether to quote. We only share your name, contact details and documents with a Firm once you select it or contact it yourself. That Firm then becomes an independent controller of your data and handles it under its own privacy notice and professional duties of confidentiality.
  • Service Providers: We may share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud storage, analytics, and payment processing.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
  • With Your Consent: We may share information with your explicit consent for specific purposes.

5. Legal Basis and Sensitive Information

Under UK GDPR we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide the App, the Marketplace and the Firm Portal, and to manage Firm accounts and fees.
  • Legitimate interests: to verify Firms, keep the platform secure, improve our services and follow up with business contacts who have asked to hear from us. You can object at any time.
  • Consent: for marketing communications and optional cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation: to keep financial records and respond to lawful requests.

Immigration matters can involve special category data (such as health, ethnicity or religion) and criminal records information. We only process this where you choose to provide it, with your explicit consent, so Firms can assess and act on your matter, or where it is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You can withdraw consent by deleting the matter or contacting us, although a Firm you have already instructed may need to keep information to meet its own legal obligations.

Business contacts: if you submit your details through a LinkedIn lead generation form or our solicitor pages, we use them to contact you about Visary for Solicitors and keep them for up to 24 months unless you become a registered Firm or ask us to delete them. LinkedIn's own processing is covered by LinkedIn's privacy policy.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Secure authentication and access controls
  • Regular security assessments and updates
  • Limited access to personal information on a need-to-know basis

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When we no longer need your information, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request access to your personal information
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information
  • Portability: Request transfer of your data to another service
  • Objection: Object to processing of your personal information
  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable

You can exercise these rights by contacting us through the App or by email. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your information receives adequate protection.

11. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any information.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

13. Contact Us
